‘Pollinator’ is a more appealing word than wasp…
Not a lot of people want to read-up on what kind of stinging insects live around them, but wasps (and their more well-received siblings: bees) are some of the worlds most interesting and diverse pollinators.
While there are a variety of pollinators from beetles to flies to birds, this short guide focuses on the order Hymenoptera; the beneficial, four-winged bugs that deserve some much-needed recognition.

The Process
The illustrations in ‘Pollinators of Martin County’ were created in the digital drawing program Procreate and then vectorized using Adobe Illustrator. Each insect in the eBook is loving hand-drawn directly and accurately from real-world references in order to ensure identification value. The final project was then laid out using Adobe Indesign.
