The Florida Blues
A collection of photographic and illustrated designs featuring the butterflies in the family Lycaenidae that are native to Florida. Lycaenidae is a family of butterflies often reffered to as ‘the Blues’ due to their metallic azure wings.
Do You Have the Blues?
Butterflies commonly referred to as ‘Blues’ are often much smaller than species in other families. Because of their small stature, they are often overlooked and butterfly gardens rarely include plants meant to attract and support them. In fact, many people do not even know that four of these irridescent wonders call Florida their home. These designs are intended to raise awareness for fantastic local butterflies that many people have not ever even seen before.
